About the Role:

Adobe’s Digital Imaging team, which builds Adobe Lightroom, is looking for a motivated Member of Technical Staff II (Android) to develop next-generation features and ensure seamless experiences for photographers across mobile devices. This is a hands-on software engineering role where you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize high-performance Android applications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and global partners to define release roadmaps and scope.
  • Take ownership of features from requirements gathering to design, implementation, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain Android app features for Adobe Lightroom with high performance and reliability.
  • Optimize memory and processing footprint to improve app responsiveness and eliminate crashes/ANRs.
  • Implement automation and unit tests to ensure robust product delivery.
  • Contribute to an agile team following methodologies like Scrum, Lean, and Agile.

Requirements:

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin/C++.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python or Perl.
  • Proven experience in Android app development and awareness of the latest Android advancements.
  • Solid understanding of architectural patterns and design best practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Lean.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with global teams.
